MAYBELLINE - THE COLOSSAL VOLUME EXPRESS MASCARA, has to be the most raved about mascara ever... Not only I have seen a lot of fellow bloggers swear by the way it works , its "THE HG MASCARA" too... I have Maybelline's XXL volume mascara and find pretty decent too, but I cudnt stop myself from buying this on a recent shopping trip since I had to see it for myself on how well this works ...Also,
I found the bright yellow packaging very attractive

The color I got is called Glam Black/Blackest Black. It has a slightly glossy finish to it (I guess that’s the “Glam” part). I haven’t tried Classic Black, so I can’t say how it compares. But really, Glam Black can pass for your everyday black mascara.

THE WAND
MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS MASCARA
My first reaction when I opened the Maybelline The Colossal mascara was "what a bigg Fat brush.” Well, even the packaging says “Mega Brush.”
My eyelashes are quite small, so I wasn’t sure how this Mega Brush is going to work since big brushes don’t mix with small eyelashes usually.. Fortunately, The brush is quite easy to handle, and the mascara goes on quite easily. The formula is more on the wet side, instead of creamy or thick, which I like since it goes on smoother. But because of this, it takes a little longer to dry completely.
Now, what really impresses me about Maybelline Volum’ Express mascara is that its on the low-clumping side. The clumping on my eyelashes isn’t very noticeable, so I’m quite happy with that. No added lash brush and combing necessary
As for the 7x volume claim…well, I’m not sure if it’s 7x exactly. But with just two coats, the Maybelline mascara does make my lashes appear longer and thicker.
WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS MASCARA

- Does not clump
- Leaves lashes soft and not dry or brittle

- Easy-to-work-with formula, neither too thick nor too runny

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT THE MASCARA
- The mascara flakes and smudges a bit
- Doesnt meet the 7x volume claim
- Bigger brush can be hard to work with on the lower lash line and corners of the eye.
